Can I dispose of fire extinguishers in my regular rubbish service?

Fire extinguishers are classified as dangerous goods and cannot be disposed of in regular rubbish bins or curb side collection. Alliance Fire Protection has a fire extinguisher disposal service that is environmentally friendly and cost effective. Fire extinguishers can be made from materials such as brass, aluminium, steel and stainless steel. We recycle as many materials as we can to offset the cost transportation and handling.

We prefer extinguishers are palletised or in a secure cage for safe transportation.

Disposal is $14.50 ex GST. ($15.95 incl GST) per fire extinguisher. A minimum charge of $85.00 ex GST ($93.50 incl GST) applies.
